Time 4 Jaffa Cake Protein Flapjacks

Ingredients

To make this Jaffa Cake Protein Flapjacks recipe you will need:


½ cup mixed nuts (nut’s may need a small chop, depending how large you want your bars)
½ cup rice krispies
2 cups rolled oats.
½ cut Nut butter (optional)
¼ cup honey – or maple syrup
¼ cup melted butter or coconut oil
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
¼ tsp salt
60g Time 4 Whey Protein Professional Jaffa Cake flavour
6 finely chopped Jaffa cakes

Method

Add butter (or oil), honey (or maple syrup), brown sugar, vanilla extract and nut butter (optional) to a pot over medium high heat. Stir frequently until ingredients are fully melted.
Remove mixture from heat and let cool for 3 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, rice krispies, mixed nuts and Time 4 Nutrition Jaffa Cake Whey Protein.
Pour the melted syrup into the large bowl and mix the oats, rice krispies and mixed nuts until evenly combined, then let cool for 3-5 minutes.
Once the mixture has cooled add the finely chopped Jaffa cake pieces and mix
Pour the mixture into a square dish lined with parchment paper. (Tip: lightly grease the dish before adding the parchment, this will help it to stick). Smooth the mixture out with a spatula.
Firmly press and pack the granola into the bottom or the dish and place in the fridge for 3 hours.
Once chilled, pick up the parchment paper from the dish and place on chopping board and cut into square and rectangular shape.
Serve and enjoy!
