Time 4 Salted Caramel Peanut Brittle High Protein Snack

Ingredients

To make this Salted Caramel Peanut Brittle High Protein Snack recipe, you will need:


1 scoop Time 4 Whey Protein Professional Salted Caramel Flavour
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
¼ cup Maple Syrup
¼ cup boiling water
2 tbsp butter
½ tsp salt
1tsp vanilla extract
½ cup unsalted peanuts

Method

Line a shallow pan with parchment paper, grease and set to one side.
In a medium saucepan over a medium low heat combine white sugar, brown sugar and maple syrup.
Dissolve Salted caramel Whey Protein in the boiling water and add to sugars. Bring to a rolling boil and add butter.
Cook low and slow at a very gentle boil to 250F without stirring (a candy thermometer can help monitor this).
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Pour mixture onto the greased shallow pan and spread to ¼ inch thickness.
When the brittle solidifies but is still hot, sprinkle unsalted peanuts over the surface of the brittle and press down gentle.
Allow to cool at room temperature for 30mins then place in fridge for 2-3 hours.
When caramel has gone hard break into pieces and enjoy!
