WHAT IS MALTODEXTRIN?
Carbohydrate is a vital energy source for both endurance performance and high intensity intermittent activities. All delivery times stated are estimated, and we make every effort to deliver goods within the stated timescale. However delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen circumstances.

When receiving goods you must count the items and check for damage and then sign and print your name to confirm you have received the whole order in good condition.
It is stated on the couriers delivery note the number of boxes you should receive. If the number of boxes you have received does not match the number stated on the delivery note you must note the number of boxes received on the delivery note by your signature.
Any damage to the packaging must be noted on the delivery note next to your signature. The words “unexamined” or “unchecked” will not be acceptable.

I am hoping you can answer a few questions for me.
I’m a long distance runner taking on 100 plus mile races. I’m wanting to know if Time 4 Carbs is enough to sustain the bodies needs over a period of 24hrs plus with some added salt.
A golden hour for an ultra-runner would be 40-60g of carbs and 100-200 calories per hour. Most runners do not finish races due to gastro issues which stops them from eating. Also, after a period of your body being under stress it is difficult to physically eat. Once the body stops taking on nutrition it can’t maintain exercise.
I have been using Time 4 Carbs for approx. 18 months as a supplement to food and salt. I would like to go that little bit further and see if just Time 4 Carbs with added salt is enough to sustain me in the latter stages of a race.
There are a couple of brands that do this but sadly these make me feel sick quite quickly. As yet Time 4 Carbs doesn’t.
If in your eyes if it’s fit for my purpose what else would I need to add. ie, electrolytes etc?
As far as adding to Time 4 Carbs and electrolytes, I would simply include a source of non-protein amino acids at 1.5% of any solution, i.e. 15 grams per litre. For this purpose, Time 4 Intra-Workout is perfect. The addition of amino acids/protein at these levels is known to improve enhance glycogen resynthesis, however, this specific blend is more appropriate because of the added glycine. This is a range put together by people who train for people who train, we understand the nuances of taking supplements in and around the competitive arena, rehydration, glycogen resynthesis, muscle preservation, making a weight class, recovery and, in particular, the considerations of how this may impact the GI tract in the real world. We could have the best flavours and most relevant research, but if a product causes an upset stomach in the real world then it’s worse than useless in our eyes. This is exactly why we added glycine to this formula, supplementation with glycine is known to reduce bloating, abdominal cramps, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, etc in endurance athletes. Glycine is not sufficiently synthesized from the diet once we’re put under extreme stress either: As a precursor to our primary antioxidant, glutathione, this spells trouble.
Glycine plays a vital role as a neurotransmitter in our CNS during periods of psychological stress, even influencing our ability to focus, tolerate pain or simply take food on board. The dosage found in Time 4 Intra-Workout is equivalent to that used in pain relief studies.
As glycine becomes depleted, our immune system starts to falter and pro-inflammatory cytokine levels really become elevated, glycine intake can play a protective role on intestinal epithelial cells that is uniquely independent from this impact on inflammation too. During extreme stress, injury or sepsis, glycine even helps protect our organs from ischemia, shock and reperfusion injuries.
