  • Enhanced digestive efficiency

  • Reduced inflammation

WHAT DOES TIME 4 DIGESTIVE ENZYMES CONTAIN?

Time 4 Digestive Enzymes is a specially formulated combination of evidence- based ingredients. These include:

BETAINE HCL

Betaine Hydrochloride is a supplement commonly used to support digestion. It consists of betaine, also known as trimethylglycine, combined with hydrochloric acid. Betaine HCL is primarily used to increase stomach acid levels, which can aid in the digestion of food, particularly proteins, and can help to improve digestion and nutrient absorption and relieve digestive discomfort.

OX BILE

Ox bile is a substance derived from the bile of cattle, specifically from the gallbladder. Bile is a digestive fluid produced by the liver and stored in the gallbladder. It plays a crucial role in the digestion and absorption of fats and fat-soluble vitamins in the small intestine. Ox bile supplements are made by extracting and concentrating bile from cattle, typically freeze-drying it into a powdered form. It can help with digestion of fat, improve nutrient absorption and support healthy liver function.

BROMELAIN

Bromelain is a mixture of enzymes found naturally in the pineapple plant, particularly in the fruit’s stem and juice. It contains several proteolytic enzymes, primarily bromelain, which have various health benefits. Bromelain helps in the digestion of proteins and can also eleviate digestive discomforts such as bloating and gas and can also support immune function and reduce inflammation.

PROTEASE

Protease is a type of enzyme that breaks down proteins into smaller peptides and amino acids, facilitating their digestion and absorption in the body. Protease enzymes are naturally produced by the pancreas and are also found in various foods. Protease can also support immune function and reduce inflammation.

AMYLASE

Amylase is an enzyme responsible for breaking down carbohydrates into smaller sugar molecules, such as glucose, maltose, and dextrin. It is produced primarily in the pancreas and salivary glands and plays a crucial role in the digestion of carbohydrates in the body. Amylase can also help to alleviate digestive symptons such as bloating and gas and can also support blood sugar regulation.

PAPAIN

Papain is a proteolytic enzyme extracted from the latex of the papaya fruit. Papain supplementation can support digestion, alleviate digestive symptoms, reduce inflammation and support immune function.

LIPASE

Lipase is an enzyme that aids in the digestion of dietary fats. It is produced primarily by the pancreas and secreted into the small intestine, where it breaks down triglycerides into fatty acids and glycerol, which can then be absorbed by the body. Lipase plays a crucial role in fat digestion and absorption and can help to alleviate digestive symptoms, enhance nutrient absorption, support weight management, provide relief from enzyme insufficiency, and support gallbladder health.

LACTASE

Lactase is an enzyme that breaks down lactose, the sugar found in milk and dairy products, into its component sugars, glucose and galactose. It is produced in the small intestine, specifically in the brush border of the intestinal lining. Lactase deficiency or insufficiency can lead to lactose intolerance, characterized by digestive discomfort after consuming lactose-containing foods.
