Magnesium

Magnesium is an essential mineral found in all human tissues. It is involved in over 300 enzyme reactions and over 600 cellular reactions. These include the replication of DNA, the secretion of parathyroid hormone, the function of muscle tissue and the nervous system, and energy production. It also contributes to protein synthesis, testosterone production, electrolyte balance, psychological function and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. It is essential for the conversion of vitamin D into its active form and for making it available for the body to use.
