I have been passionate about Bodybuilding for around 5 years. I did my first bicep curl at 13, bought my first dumbbells at 14 and joined my first gym at 15.
Since then I have competed in 2 Bodybuilding shows and will be competing in my third in August this year. After coming 4th in 2015, 2nd in 2016 I’m hoping this year I can bring home that 1st place trophy. I try to train 6-7 days a week, prioritising legs and back and always trying to hit them twice a week.
I was born with a condition called Pectus excavatum which causes the sternum and rib cage to grow abnormally causing a dipping/sunken look in the chest. Because of this I was never anyone with any noticeable confidence in myself. Before and during my first year of the gym I was shy, hated the way I looked and quite frankly never thought I could ever be at the stage I am today. Training has not only made me healthier but also a lot happier.
Regarding my future in bodybuilding, there’s not really an end goal at the moment, I enjoy every minute of training, getting to compete in shows is just a huge bonus for me. Coming into my 3rd and final show as a teenager I only have high hopes for myself and to be able to stand on stage and show a crowd of supportive people the progress I have made over the last 5 years makes all the hard work worth it.
